Lack of Updates

It's been busy over the holidays, so I havent had time to blog as much as I'd like. I've visited the chase tower a couple of times, and also eaten elsewhere.

Saleria Cantina and Grille

Salseria is located on the second floor of the sears tower on the northeast side of the block.

Great place for mexican food. They have a bar. Also, when its warm, you can play bags(!) outside.

Bacci's Pizza

Bacci's Pizza, located at 120 North Wells, has HUGE slices of pizza for (IIRC) $4. They're literally about a foot long. Cubs fans will recognize the name because they have a location near Wrigley Field.

Out of the Loop: Keefer's Kaffe on Kinzie

I used to work in the IBM building, so sometimes you'll see me recounting the places I used to eat in the River North area. Those posts will be denoted with the Out of the Loop prefix.

Keefer's Kaffe on Kinzie is a great place to get a panini or another good sandwich. The service is fast, although the place itself is kind of small. They actually have a restaurant next door that's really nice. A friend of mine, who shall remain nameless once lost her pair of gloves in the restaurant waiting for me! In the bone cold winter near the Chicago River wind tunnel!!

Fontanos

Fontano's, located right across the street from the DePaul center, is a little sub shop. Excellent food, I hightly recommend the meatball sub, and also around eastertime, the egg and cheese sub on lenten fridays.

An old coworker's girlfriend used to drive the Fontanos truck at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital construction site and would pull up to the IBM building and sell out her stock to Trump Tower construction workers and also workers at my old firm. Those sandwiches are better than subway and potbelly!

Let's see if i can rip off one more post before I leave for lunch today!

Chain Restaurants

Here's another quick post: I've gone to Potbellies, Chipotles, McDonalds, Subways, and Taco Bells to have lunch on random days. It happens. I wont review those in here, because everyone's gone to them at one point or another. I'm going to be focusing on Chicago specific places.

Out of the Loop: Fulton's Fish Market

Unbelievable: My laptop crashed. Here's the story of a great place to eat just north of the loop

While I have some time before I meet up with friends to go to Chase Tower, I'll recount one of the best places I've been to for lunch in the City: Fulton's Fish Market.

Its located at LaSalle and the River. I highly recommend the fish and chips. They will tell you where the fish was caught and the name of the fisherman in Alaska who caught it. I gotta go back there one of these days! Great place!
